IPED: What’s it All About?

If you’ve been considering becoming a member of the Institute of Podiatric Excellence and Development (IPED) and wondering what we’re about—read on!

WHEN: IPED was created in August 2015 by podiatrists like you who are dedicated to their profession and want to succeed and see others in the field succeed as well.

WHO: Designed to motivate and inspire, IPED ideology is that the group would belong to its members, who would become resources for each other. Members would include students, residents, new practitioners, experienced foot doctors and veterans and IPED would synergistically bridge the gap between them.

WHY: IPED’s primary goal is to give all members the essential tools to help them succeed at every stage of their careers both professionally and personally. We focus on everything from practice management and building a better team, to staying current with the latest podiatric techniques and technologies, compliance and regulations, to maintaining a balanced life that is rewarding and satisfying on all fronts. The concept behind IPED is to go back to basics and share and learn together for the good of the profession.

HOW: IPED is guided by a Board of Trustees and an Executive Director. It is financially and morally supported by a Corporate Advisory Board of trusted companies. We do this through mentoring, personal contact, and providing multiple forums for members to exchange ideas, including blogs, videos, webinars and face-to-face meetings. Being able to ask the important questions and get answers are the cornerstones of IPED.
