With all that is required of me, how do I establish and succeed in practice while creating balance in my life?

This common statement made by so many new practitioners and seasoned professionals was the impetus behind creating the “Institute for Podiatric Excellence and Development” (IPED).

The Institute of Podiatric Excellence and Development (IPED) was created in August 2015 with ideology that the group would belong to its members and the members would become resources for each other. It was designed to motivate, inspire and synergistically bridge the gap between the podiatry student and the veteran practitioner.

IPED’s primary goal is to provide its members with the essential tools to help them succeed at every stage of their careers. For a student, it could be the insights from a third year resident who helps the student map out a strategy for pursuing a residency program. The new practitioner can be guided by a veteran practitioner on the key elements in hiring a good practice manager and IPED’s resources can provide the guidance for the veteran practitioner as he or she begins to consider reducing hours and/or retirement. Mentoring, personal contact, and providing a forum for its members to exchange ideas, ask questions and get answers are the cornerstones of IPED and what distinguishes it from other organizations. IPED is also aware of the changing paradigm in accessing information, and to that end, IPED’s website, www.podiatricexcellence.org is designed to be a central resource for information with portals that will allow its members to ask questions and seek advice from their colleagues.

IPED is guided by its Board of Trustees and an Executive Director and financially and morally supported by its Corporate Advisory Board of participating corporations that also are tremendous resources for its members.

The Institute for Podiatric Excellence and Development strives to connect its members with a large network of renowned experts and professional peers who can provide proven strategies and lasting support to help each other grow professionally and flourish in an ever-changing industry.

THE CONCEPT BEHIND OUR ORGANIZATION IS TO GO BACK TO BASICS AND TO SHARE AND LEARN TOGETHER  FOR THE GOOD OF THE PROFESSION
